The golf tournament was in fielding and on was on the 16/4/2013. Karen the golf teacher taught the hole OROUA GROUP!!! but the top rooms where aloud to go. Karen taught us how to....

Kapiti - Bird life

As we rushed into the lodge I saw at least 30 birds in the sky and 20 birds on the ground. This must be bird heaven. We rushed around playing, feeding and trying to protect our tents from the Weka.
I went around looking at the birds beautiful colours. Then I started to name them ... Ben ... Ben ... and Ben.
The Weka is very good at pooping in David an Travis's tents. It is also very good at being sneaky!
During meal times, they are like hungry lions waiting for their prey. They come inside when not allowed, they look straight at you in the eye. I think that they are trying to be cute so they get food. I also noticed that when it is not meal time they march away!
When I woke up in the night and I went to get a drink of water,  I saw a kiwi beak. I saw its nostrils. Then I hopped out of the tent. I tried to pat it but it ran away!! It just reminded me that Kiwis still do live in the wild! Maybe when they make a new Madagascar movie, he might run away with them!

The awesome time on Camp to do fishing

I carry my fishing rod along the rocky shore. Dad cast my rod out to sea. I sat there waiting and waiting ... then my line went crazy!
I started to struggle to get the line in so Mike came over and helped me. But the body was gone? "AAAAHHHH"!!!!! All that was was head!!??
"I think there is Piranha Mike," I said.
"Maybe or it is a king fish," said Mike.
This time Mike cast my rod out.
Oh by the way Dylan, my friend, was helping.
Waiting waiting ... when all of a sudden it goes for my line with full power.
My line snaps. My prey goes with it.      

What a day!!!!

We just arrived there and then it was my race.
I went zipping past people. 20th  21st 20th 21st ... Stay in 20th Ben. Now I am on my bike ride. I could not stop zooming (what was helpful for me) I kept thanking myself. I kicked my shoes off and into the pool. DONE!!!!

A swimming adventure

As I trotted up the steps I felt excited but a teeny bit scared. It was my first time jumping off the huge board!My first step ... aah aah! as I splashed into the water."That was not too bad," I thought.Here we go again! Splashing off the highest board like I am on a trampoline at the top of the world. Into the water ... splat! It was not a pretty sight. My legs hurt so badly as I landed on them first. After a second in the water it wore and I felt proud.For the second one. I did the gangnam style. Throwing my hand in the air and putting my other one in front and down by my waist.
Here I go again ... splashing off the diving board. 
Going up the steps for the third time I thought to myself, "How about one more." But I did two more!!!
Suddenly, on my fifth jump ... I got bored. So I went to the little one.
"Run up," I said. So I did a run up and bombed in splashing off the little diving board.
"Time to get out," our swimming instructor said.
I felt disappointed because it was the end of the day.

My Birthday bash

''It's my Birthday ooooooooooooo''!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had been wanting for this for months! Nae ... just two weeks. It's time ... it's time to my build my bivie. Thomas, Ben, Logan WIN!!!!!!!! MOVIE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!! 'Real steal"  Atom wins and now he's the world champ. The next day ... bacon my favourite.
And the Turbos WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!
